Whether you are just starting out in real estate investing, or are working on your hundredth deal, Central Florida Realty Investors Association (CFRI) can help you learn more, make more, and have more fun doing it. 

 

CFRI offers two types of membership: general membership for people looking to learn more about real estate investing and increase their networking opportunities; and business membership for companies looking to offer their goods and services to members and guests.

Membership in the Central Florida Realty Investors Association provides many benefits and services.  It allows members to …

 

  • Attend the CFRI monthly General Meeting for FREE that features both local and nationally recognized speakers who share their expertise on various ways to invest and prosper in real estate
  • Attend all of the County Chapter Meetings for FREE to further explore the various ways to invest in real estate
  • Apply to participate in small, intimate Focus Groups for FREE that meet to explore a specific aspect of real estate investing (Attendees must pre-register on-line for each meeting at least three days in advance. Most groups are limited in size)         
  • Receive substantial discounts on seminars, workshops, conferences and other related opportunities offered by CFRI
  • Receive the CFRI monthly newsletter
  • Meet and network with existing members and guests who are actively investing in real estate or involved in related fields
  • Meet local real estate brokers, mortgage brokers, attorneys, and other service providers who are knowledgeable and experienced working with real estate investors

  • Receive a CFRI member name tag (issued one time to new members only and available for pick-up at the General Meeting)

  • Receive discounts from local vendors
  • Receive discounts from national vendors through our membership in National REIA.
  • Obtain nationally recognized certification as a Professional Housing Provider (PHP) by completing required coursework offered by CFRI and approved by the National Real Estate Investors Association (NaREIA).

Annual General Membership Fee: $150 for one member.  Add 1 or 2 additional household members for $50 each.

Annual General Membership Fee for Students: $50 for one member. Add up to two household members for $50 each. Valid student ID must be presented from accredited postsecondary institutions or program.  Discount not available on-line.  Click here to download a Membership Application you can fax or mail to CFRI. Students must write STUDENT DISCOUNT across the top of the application and must provide a copy of their current student ID.

Portion of General Membership Fee Not Deductible: Effective January 1, 2009, eight dollars of each General Membership (individual or group) shall be used by CFRI for lobbying and legislative related activities that are germane to the common business interests of the members of our association and in keeping with our Bylaws, Policies, and the IRS Codes.  This portion of the membership dues can not be deducted as a business expense by members.

Benefits of Being a Business Member:

 

Business members receive the same benefits as general members.  In addition to those benefits business members also receive…

 

  • The ability to promote your business to members and guests at the General Meeting by displaying flyers on the business members flyer table and by making a brief, 20-30 second business announcement during the General Meeting (restrictions may apply)
  • The ability to promote your business at all of CFRI county subgroups
  • A free listing in the Business Member Directory in the CFRI monthly newsletter which is distributed to over 1500 investors in Central Florida
  • Substantial discounts when purchasing additional advertising in the CFRI Newsletter
  • Special rates for participating in the CFRI Vendor Fair run in conjunction with our real estate investing convention
  • The opportunity to sponsor a General Meeting for an additional fee, once you have been an approved CFRI business member for 3 months.  Sponsors are the only members able to distribute flyers in the meeting room by either placing them directly on the chairs or handing them out. Sponsors receive a complementary vendor table.  Sponsors are guaranteed five minutes time during the General Meeting to promote their business and may display a free-standing banner on stage
  • The opportunity to rent a vendor table at the General Meeting for a nominal fee, currently $60, once the CFRI Board of Directors has approved your membership. 

Annual Business Membership Fee: $325 for two associates with company.  Add 1 or 2 additional associates to the membership for $50 each. There is a maximum of four associates per business membership.

Please note the following policies and procedures:

  • At any function, seminar, or event that is sponsored or co-sponsored with CFRI, no one can promote anything or sell anything that conflict’s or competes with CFRI
  • Benefits are subject to change at the discretion of the CFRI board
  • Business members are required to include name of company and contact information on all flyers and advertising
  • Business members are required to complete the State Licensing Information Form and attend New Business Member Orientation before their membership application can be approved by the CFRI board
